Lake Livingston

Lake Livingston, Texas is the State's second largest lake that has all of its boundaries in Texas. Lake Livingston is thirty-nine miles long, seven miles wide at is greatest width, and has an area of 93,000 acres. Several counties encompass the four hundred and fifty miles of shoreline such as San Jacinto, Walker, Trinity and Polk. This lake is great for fishing, swimming, boating, skiing, jet-skiing, and camping.

Lake Livingston still has an East Texas feel where piney woods meet the lake.  The terrain in certain areas can be quite hilly and beautiful.  During the summer a Southeast wind comes up from the Gulf and keeps the temperature at least 10 degrees cooler than Houston.  Just imagine sitting on your deck looking at the water, and having the breeze blow in your face, while you are sipping on your ice cold drink.

Owning a home on the lake is not just owning any home, it is being part of a lakefront lifestyle.  Wake up in the mornings to peace and quiet.  Go out fishing on your pier and see the sunrise across the water.  What a glorious site.  Take the boat out for a ride, let your children go skiing, or tubing.  Come back to enjoy BBQ on the deck with friends and family.  Go out for a canoe ride, or jet-skiing.  Just getting away for the weekend, can help you rest and relax.

Lake Livingston is only around 70 miles North of Houston.  It is accessable via I-45 or Hwy. 59. It is close enough to be able to leave early Saturday morning, and make it back late Sunday, without driving very far.

There are many different communities that have developed around the lake to fit anyone's needs and pricing.  You can still get unrestricted land if that is a choice.  I have lived on the water and worked in this area for 12 years, I can help you find your get-a-way.
